Introduction to Next Generation Sequencing DataThis workshop presented by Bioinformatics Hub will take you through the general structure and common processes required for working with NGS data. Topics covered include how Illumina reads are generated using Sequencing by Synthesis , quality assessment for Fastq files, the SAM/BAM/CRAM file formats and more. They’re the ones that we put off, avoid or stumble our way through. Going forward students must claim core activities separately in CaRST Online. Core activities can be found by selecting the ‘core’ filter in CaRST Online, and include the compulsory Postgraduate Research Induction, Research Integrity, and IBP-R program as well as training recommended for all HDR students. Systematic Review TrainingThe Centre for Evidence Based Practice South Australia (CEPSA- based at the Adelaide Nursing School, University of Adelaide) will again be offering Systematic Review Training. The training will provide you with guidance on how to create and conduct a systematic review. Date - Monday 9th - Thursday 12th July 2018 Please note this training includes a fee of $450.
