Moratorium Bill Focus Shifts to Senate

After successful passage to the House floor last week, the moratorium bill’s Senate companion (SF 2694) awaits scheduling for a hearing in the Senate Local Government Committee. Opposition from local government and environmental groups remain a challenge in the Senate, where BATC and coalition partners are working to line up support for a hearing and an opportunity for passage to the Senate floor. The coalition is working against the clock with legislative policy deadlines looming over the next two weeks. 

Top 25 Builders of 2015

The list is out! Results from our annual survey show that Lennar was the region’s top ranked builder once again in 2015. Lennar has held the top spot since 2006. Rankings are based on annual gross revenue as reported by respondents for for-sale housing.

Reports from our Spring Tours 

Survey results for the Spring Parade of Homes and Remodelers Showcase are in! Overall, the numbers look good, with 80% of new home builders and 100% of remodeler participants rating the tours as good or excellent. We hope this forecasts an active selling season for all!

- Average traffic: 446 groups  (extrapolated total: 197,578 total visits to tour homes)

- 25% rated the tour Excellent

Remodelers Showcase
- Survey Response Rate: 29%
- Average Traffic:  268 groups (extrapolated total: 14,740 total visits to tour projects)
- Low: 28; High 995
- 29% rated the tour excellent
- 71% rated the tour good
