12:00 p.m. Calling all first-year students! Are you struggling on how to effectively manage your time? Do you need a strategy on how to stay on top of your to-do list? Are you looking to maximize your efficiency and schedule? Join Assistant Dean Chuck Allen, Senior Academic Advisor Joy Stroman and current students for best practices for time management. FLDP points will be offered for this workshop.

Advisors, faculty and student organization leadership will be on hand to answer questions about electives, careers, and ways to get involved. Open to any student new to the Finance Major! Black Lives Always Mattered! Website Launch

2:00 p.m.BLAM!, a graphic novel, brings African American history in Philadelphia to life with a focus on 14 historical figures, including W.E.B. Du Bois, Cecil B. Moore, and Marian Anderson. In this virtual launch, curators, historians, artists, web designers, and others involved in the project will dig deep into the creative process, looking at how the project evolved while providing a captivating way to learn about the "hidden figures" of African American history and their invaluable contributions to Philadelphia. In celebration of the founding of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History by Dr. Carter G. Woodson on this date in 1915.

2:00-3:30 p.m.Everyone has a role in preventing suicide. QPR is an evidence-based training designed to give students information about suicide, basic skills and confidence in talking to someone about suicide and how to refer friends and peers to the most appropriate resources for help. This program explores origins of mental health stigma, how students can identify and support friends who may be struggling, and how each individual can be an agent of change in reducing stigma. Independent handbag designer discusses her untraditional route to her degree from FoxGénesis Warner Fernandez, OBBA ’17, decided to make a life-changing decision: move to Italy in the name of love, where she would continue to pursue an education virtually.
