It's important to check your email throughout the academic year as this is the main way we'll be staying in touch with you. Did you know, you can live in residence this summer too? Property Tax Credit for ResidenceAs a residence student, you may claim a property tax credit of $25 when you file your income tax return; this does not require a receipt. This is the only claim you may make for residence expenses. Your residence fees are not deductible; therefore, the University does not issue tax receipts. Want a Full-Time Summer Job? Work with Us! Work on campus this summer with Housing & Conference Services. We have over 20 unique full-time students positions available across the department in areas such as IT, Conference & Events, Facilities, Marketing and Residence Life! Generations Together - InterGenerational Mixer Tuesday, March 12th 6 - 8 pm in Les Prince 109. Free event. Light refreshments will be served. How do you feel about aging? What kinds of experiences have you had interacting with older adults? How can we bring students and older adults together on campus in meaningful ways? Come out to Generations Together, where older adults and students will come together to explore these questions, get to know one another, and more! Residence Life and the McMaster Institute for Research on Aging will be hosting this social event to bring generations together to learn more about one another, and to share exciting news about a new inter-generational Living Learning Community starting next year. As you prepare for upcoming exams, don't forget to start planning your residence move-out. Check Mosaic for your personal exam timetable. Residence move-out is 3 pm the day following your last exam. Need an Extension? If you require an extension for an academic requirement, extenuating circumstance or a pre-booked out-of-province/country flight, you must complete the Move Out Extension Request step on the residence portal. To complete the Move Out Extension request, log into the Residence portal, and proceed to the "Move-Out Extension Request" step. You will be notified via email to your McMaster email address if your extension request is approved. All requests for extensions must be completed by Friday, March 29 for consideration. |
