Good-bye to
Commissioner PressleyWe are all sad to see Commissioner Pressley leave our family in Grandwood Park. Though it's sad news for us, we are happy for Cherie and her family, who are relocating to Arizona. Cherie has been a resident of Grandwood Park for more than 15 years. For me, she was also a kind and thoughtful next-door neighbor. For the Park District she worked tirelessly on efforts to maintain our Preschool.
During her tenure she oversaw many changes, and updates including a new curriculum, new technologies, new techniques, and new teaching staff, all of which advanced opportunities for early childhood learning and socialization. Fortunately for the Park District, the foundation Cherie developed will continue to guide the preschool going forward. She will be missed.

Little Learners Preschool on hiatusGrandwood Park Park District's Little Learners Preschool will not be accepting students for the school year from September 2021 to May of 2022.
Though Grandwood Park Park District is proud to have been educating our preschoolers for more than 30 years, we find that with Covid-19, it has been difficult to make plans for the coming school year. The Park District is dedicated to its mission of enriching the quality of life for the community by providing the best facilities and recreational activities possible to residents of all ages. The Board of Commissioners will reevaluate the options for preschool in the next fiscal year. Please contact the Park District office at 847-356-3008, by email at parkdistrict@grandwoodpark.net, or check our website at www.Grandwoodpark.net for updates.
