Current Update

Controlling the COVID-19 pandemic relies on community togetherness on a broad scale. With one person not following the health guidelines of physical distancing, washing of hands or any of the other advice recommended by health officials could potentially have a devastating effect. Luckily our Border community is used to pulling together in times of crisis with this crisis no different. I do not need to remind you to look out for each, support our local businesses where you can and maintain contact with people through the electronic avenues available to you. We are already seeing incredible examples of businesses pulling together to support each other and Business Wodonga is incredibly proud to be a part of that network. We are here if you need someone to talk with or need other types of support. Let’s continue fostering our world class business community, do all we can to minimise the pandemic’s impact and look forward to getting back on track with building a prosperous future together.

Updates on the pandemic are happening by the minute. The Victorian Chamber is providing excellent information and also have a survey for businesses to complete so they can build evidence of our issues to take to the Victorian Government to advocate on our behalf. They also have free Essentials membership which includes 2 calls to Workplace Relations Hotline –- members please contact Neil if you wish to access this service on mail@businesswodonga.com.au or 02 6056 8302.  Advice is also available from our members who specialise in HR – see our directory. We highly recommend these businesses.

CHANGES TO OUR WEBSITE

More to come: Stay tuned

Business Wodonga is working hard to change how we support businesses through this unprecedented times. We are creating content and features based on feedback and input from across the entire business community, both locally and with our partners across the state.

There is already an entire section dedicated to making the flow of information streamlined and clear. Please take the opportunity to check it out and as more information becomes available, we will update it as quickly as possible.

If there is something you would like to see, please reach out to us and we will look at how we can include it in the development plans.

DID YOU KNOW?

Google is providing additional support for changes to the information for your business. If your business is being affected by COVID-19, you can update your Google My Business profile to provide the most accurate information to your customers. For example, change your hours of operation if you’re closing early, or add more details to your description. You can also update if your restaurant moves to takeout or delivery only. The updates will show on your Business Profile on Google Search and Maps.
