au phds at work

Do you ever find yourself wondering:

Where can I get a job after my PhD?

OR

What will my job tasks be like?

As a PhD you develop specialized skills and abilities and some find it challenging to actually visualize where they will end up or in which job function.

With AU PhDs at Work we share with you the job tasks, title and company of employment of AU alumni from various programmes at Aarhus University. By doing this, we hope to inspire you and possibly open your eyes to new opportunities.

Follow us on Facebook and stay tuned every Friday - maybe you will become aware of a new career path or job opportunity.

Career talks

Interested in a one-on-one meeting with an industry profile?

Since the deadline for Mentor Programme applications in August, 25 PhD students have been matched with mentors from the industry. Even though applying for the Mentor Programme is not an option until summer 2017, you can still meet up with a PhD profile through our Career Talks initiative.

Anil Mor, MD with a PhD in clinical epidemiology, tried out Career Talk last spring at the end of his PhD studies. We matched him with medical director, Meredin Stoltenberg from Ferring Pharmaceuticals. Anil wanted to explore his options after he had finished his PhD and get a better sense of how it actually feels to be working in the industry.

You can find out more about Career Talks on our website along with a overview of the industry profiles. Should you feel that there are specific profiles missing, you are more than welcome to email our PhD Career Consultant, Vibeke Broe with your suggestion.
