No images? Click here (If you are not the Em Software end user(s), please forward this email to them. It contains potentially critical information.) Free 3+ month DocsFlow licenseTo help our users through this difficult work-from-home time, we're offering a free DocsFlow Pro license valid through July 1, 2020 (hoping any lockdowns will be long gone by then). If you're doing remote InDesign production with your collaborators, DocsFlow is the perfect solution. You can directly place co-workers' Google Docs and Sheets documents (shared with you) into InDesign stories. Placing this way gives you a live, "hot" link to the remote document. Best of all, you can update those stories with a double-click (using DocsFlow's magic-merge that preserves work on both sides) when there's a change. Getting started is very simple: visit http://emsoftware.com/products/docsflow/try and follow directions. However, when prompted for a license, don't click Demo, but instead enter
in the license field, and anything (but something) in the user/affiliation fields. Getting up and running should only take you 3-5 minutes. If you don't already have a Google Docs account, setting one up just takes a minute or two, and is free! Visit http://docs.google.com to get started. We remain ready at support@emsoftware.com to help you with any problems or questions you might have as you get started. Using your license on a remote work machineWe're getting inquiries about using an existing Em plugin license on another machine for remote work. We've always had the same policy as InDesign itself: you're free to use your individual license on two machines that (only) you use alternately, such as a work desktop and a home laptop. To install on a second machine, just download and install the appropriate plugin fresh on the new machine, and, when prompted, give the same license as you use on your primary system. More ways to get more doneIf you're not familiar with the range of Em products, we encourage you to visit our home page http://emsoftware.com/. We make the workflow-accelerating InDesign plugins WordsFlow and DocsFlow, along with the data publishing tools InData (Xdata for XPress) and InCatalog (Xcatalog). All of these products can be used—especially in this time of high stress—to get a lot more work done with fewer hands. NoteWe've always been a remote-only company (for 30+ years now) but we're definitely all affected personally by the virus lock-down and its side-effects. Please be patient with us if we're not as quick as we normally are, when responding to sales or support inquiries. Thanks for your understanding, and stay (or get) well! We'll get through this together... |
