Industry Networking Evenings
The NZFC is aiming to hold Industry networking events in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland in the first two weeks of July. There will be an open invitation for anyone involved in the screen industry to come together, discuss recent goings-on and developments over some drinks and nibbles. We'll update you with the exact dates and RSVP information shortly.

NZFC Staff News
Development Executive Katherine Fry has resigned to return to Melbourne with her family. We want to thank Katherine for the fantastic job she has done over the past few years and wish her all the best.

The NZFC seeks training and professional development opportunities that progress careers and help to grow our overall industry. Shorts Update
We're pleased to announce the Premiere Shorts Executive Producers have agreed to do the job for a second year. It's fantastic to be able to retain both continuity for the scheme and their expertise, and we'd like to thank them for their commitment to Premiere Shorts.

Giselle and the NZIFF
It has recently been announced that Toa Fraser’s feature film interpretation of the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s performance of Giselle (pictured), will have its world premiere in the opening weekend of the New Zealand International Film Festival in Auckland. You can read more about the premiere here.
The NZIFF also recently announced a number of other New Zealand films and the six finalists for New Zealand's Best Short Film 2013. You can read more about the shorts here.

White Lies Premiere
White Lies, written and directed by Dana Rotberg, based on the novella Medicine Woman by Witi Ihimaera, and produced by John Barnett and Chris Hampson will premiere in Auckland ahead of its general release in cinemas on 27 June.

Shopping Premiere
Shopping premiered in Wellington on 29 May and has got some great reviews. Congratulations to writing and directing team Mark Albiston and Louis Sutherland, producers Sarah Shaw and Anna McLeish, and to everyone who worked on the film.

The Weight of Elephants
Congratulations to the team behind The Weight of Elephants, which is currently on the top 20 films in release list in Denmark.
