National Minority Health Month 2020

This year, the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) invites everyone to join #ActiveandHealthy, a national social media campaign that will focus on the steps we can take every day in and around the house to keep our minds and bodies active. The campaign has daily themes that encourage physical activity, healthy eating habits and mental wellness. Daily themes include:

  • Wellness Mondays
  • Trivia Tuesdays
  • Work Out Wednesdays
  • Throwback Thursdays
  • Family Fridays
  • Spotlight Saturdays
  • Empowerment Sundays

Peer Education Interest Meetings

The Gender Equity Center (GenEq) is accepting applications to be a peer educator with our office! We have two groups: Men Against Violence (MAV) and Peers Helping Reaffirm Educate and Empower (PHREE). MAV and PHREE help support students who have been impacted by sexual and relationship violence while helping to educate the community about what they can do to create change on campus. Join us for our peer educator interest meetings Thursday April 16 and Thursday April 23 at 6 p.m. on Zoom, or if you know you want to get involved then apply today at tinyurl.com/geneqpeereducators!
