Reflection
Let’s pause to remember and give thanks for what has been good in our lives: - for people who have given us love and care, friendship and support…
Let’s pause to remember and give thanks - for our health and talents, and for the opportunities that come to us…
Let’s pause to remember and give thanks - for the beauty that we can see and for the inspiration we receive…
Let’s pause to remember and give thanks - for the happy memories we treasure and for all that has been good over the year. Amen.

Greg's Message
|
|
|
Dear Parents and Friends of St Anne’s
The children and staff looked “sparkling” for last Thursday’s photo day. Life at school continues to be busy. We have begun a whole school 8 day Physical Education program. Students in their houses are involved in hurdles, table tennis, tug of war and walking. This time next year we hope to be back involved in our water safety/swimming program. This Friday we begin our Advent paraliturgies in the hall as part of our preparation for Christmas.
LUNCH ORDERS
Lunch orders are available with Red Emperor (sushi) on Tuesdays and Funky Fillings on Wednesdays. Next week is the final week for lunch orders.
YEAR 6 GRADUATION UPDATE
I have spoken to Fr John and with the loosening of restrictions, we are planning to have the Graduation mass in the church on December 15. All going well (Covid19 wise), we would be able to legally invite the Graduation candidates, parents and staff. A total of around 86 people will be able to attend the mass in the church. The after mass celebration will be held outside in the school grounds.

Jolly Jamboree Costume Update
Hello again! Just a little update about the costume requirements for your child. Can each student please make sure they are wearing foundation clothing under their uniforms on their filming day so that we can do quick changes in the Performing Arts room and Library. A singlet and bike shorts would be perfect to quickly put costumes over the top. Some of the girls will be wearing skirts so please wear bike shorts underneath for their dance. I have tried my best to provide as many costumes as possible across the school but please see below the list of students that require something small to bring:
-
1 / 2: Girls - white t-shirt
-
3 / 4: Girls - blue sports shorts
-
4 / 5: All in sports shorts
-
6: The Year 6’s are choosing their own costumes and have a choice from our costumes at school. Anything extra they will need to provide.
-
Glee: White top and black bottoms - their usual performance attire
Here are some important dates to remember:
-
Thursday December 3: 1 / 2, 3 / 4 and 6 recording day
-
Thursday December 10 @ 7pm: Live online stream of “Jolly Jamboree 2020”
If you are unable to watch the live stream, this concert will be made available to watch afterwards.
Any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me: bseedeen@sannkewe.catholic.edu.au
Thanks so much and I look forward to our Jolly Jamboree 2020!

St Vincent's De Paul Annual Appeal

Vinnies Annual Christmas Fare, Toy and Gift Appeal
The Vinnies Annual Christmas Fare, Toy and Gift Appeal for 2020 has commenced. They are asking for suitable gifts (new-not pre loved) wrapped, marked and identified for either boys or girls (suggested ages between 6-12 years of age), or adult male and female gifts (toiletry items/chocolates are always greatly appreciated).
I know in the past the school community’s support in assisting with this appeal has been extraordinary. It has resulted in many families enjoying a happier Christmas as a result of the generosity exhibited by the school community.
We would be most grateful for your support again this year. Please look out for boxes that will be placed in front of your child’s classroom door in the next couple of weeks.
Some examples of what we would like to collect are listed below:
-
Reusable shopping bag, Christmas serviettes (preferably Christmas themed) and 2 bottles soft drink / mineral water
-
Box tea bags and a packet of sweet biscuits
-
Christmas pudding or mince tarts, jar of coffee
-
Tinned ham or tuna/ Reusable shopping bag (preferably Christmas themed) and 2 bottles soft drink / mineral water
-
2 packets chips or savoury biscuits, box of chocolates
-
Bag of pasta and bottle of pasta sauce
-
Or any other ‘christmas’ themed foods/household items.
It is very important that only non-perishable items are donated. All food items must have a long use-by date, at least until 2021. Please check the dates on all biscuits, crackers and snacks before placing them in the box.
In anticipation, we thank you for making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than us.
