Stat Of The Week

In Samoa, 99.4% of primary schools have access to computers for pedagogical purposes in 2020 (13.8% in 2017). This access to technology at school is important because it decreases the digital divide between pupils. To learn more about Education Statistics, discover the Education Dashboard. More info

The 16 October is World food day on the theme "Leave no one behind: Better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life." Did you know? In 100g of raw Coconut flesh there is 1,000 kJ of Energy. It's 271 for a Mango. For a man aged 30 to 59.9 years, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organisation of the United Nations recommend 15.1 MJ (15,100 kJ) per day. One way to remind us of the importance of a healthy food to avoid a lot of diseases and be healthy. Did you know? 10 October is World Mental Health Day on the theme "Make mental health & well-being for all a global priority". In Vanuatu, 0.26% of the population (aged 5+) has memory disabilities. It's the lowest rate among the 10 countries in the Pacific with data. Most memory disorders happen as we get older. A good reason to take care of our elderly.
