HERE’S TO A GREAT 2015. AND AN EVEN GREATER 2016.

It’s that time of year again, when we wind down and reflect on all our great successes.

2015 has been a particularly great year, starting in February with the effective rebranding from Natal Rubber Compounders to NUVO™ Rubber Compounders.

With this rebrand, came the need to develop and grow our brand philosophy and brand identity, and ensuring that our brand heroes – the people who run the show – were aligned and driven to innovate, advance and exceed all expectations.

The results speak for themselves!

The NUVO™ Group has acquired two new companies this year, namely; NUVO™ Rubber Linings and NUVO™ Rubber Applicators. 

The two new businesses are set to benefit tremendously from the compounds produced by NUVO™ Rubber Compounders. We have thus created an effective and beneficial relationship between the companies within the group, and hope to grow this strategic way of business in the future.

Our relentless drive to increase the group’s green footprint proved successful yet again in 2015 with further reductions in mixer energy consumption and the installation of energy efficiency lighting in our factories. We have also used state-of-the-art laboratory equipment to assist our customers in producing rubber products with lower energy usage in the field. 

In addition, we have opened up training opportunities through the Skills Education Training Authority (SETA) where we work with and up-skill young graduates who are looking to work in the industry. By nurturing these enthusiastic individuals, we believe we are contributing to the quality service offering in our field of work.

Overall, we are conscious of economic stresses but continue to think strategically and positively when it comes to the growth and development of our business.

After 2015, we are excited about the possibilities that 2016 has to offer, as we look to acquire new technology, implement additional staff training and skills development as well as make an impact in our local communities with sustainable upliftment opportunities.
