February Update
Dear Friends and Yogis,
Classes are bustling this winter, and we have two exciting community events coming up! First, it's Kirtan Chanting on February 11th with Gabrielle, Bradford and Leah, then on March 10th we're hosting Yogi Farm Day, when we'll gather at a brand-new community farm in southwest Tucson for an afternoon of service, community, and fun! Plan ahead also for our four-week Intro to Mindfulness Meditation series with Frank Jude that begins on Sunday, March 11. Looking ahead to April, we just posted an excellent opportunity to study the Yoga Sutras with Natasha. See you soon!
Blessings from your friends at Tucson Yoga

Yogi Farm Day!
Saturday, March 10, 1-4pm
at Las Milpitas de Cottonwood Community Farm
Tucson Yoga is hosting an afternoon of fun and service at Tucson's newest community farm! All students, family and friends are invited and encouraged to join us, as we connect with those in our community who are working toward positive change. Las Milipitas serves as a working demonstration site in desert food production, composting, ecological restoration, and permaculture for the greater Tucson community. Over 100 community members are growing their own organic produce on the farm, and City High School students are very involved. We hope you’ll join us for this day of Karma Yoga - Yoga in Action - as we expand our definition of what yoga is! Read more >

From the Teachers' Blog
Practice, Practice, Practice
by Michelle Marks | January 25, 2012
In the second book of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Sadhana Pada, we are inspired by the practice of Yoga. Patanjali is offering practical, yet profound- means of existing in the moment to moment. All of these teachings seem to be built upon the movement towards freeing ourselves from being enraptured with the fluctuations of the mind. I have found that this first thread of book two can be applied in the most practical of ways, and for me the significance is a real power house. Read more >
