No images? Click here Dear Friend of Duo Duo Project, We have great news to share! Mudanjiang city's lockdown has been released. After 31 days, our team has come back to work. In case you missed this scary close call experience, click here to learn more. As you can imagine, all of our dogs were so happy to see LiLi, Dongmei, and Mr. Yao when they returned. Dongmei told me that there is a lot of cleaning work to do and some dogs need a haircut badly. :-). But she is just thrilled that they all remembered her and gave her a warm welcome. Dongmei with Fuwa, 3 yr old girl ; our team; Mr Yo, Xianglin, Dongmei, Lili Mr. Yao, our team leader, offered to have everyone's salary (except for Xianglin's who we will pay double because he worked in the shelter alone for 31 days) deducted for one month since they were quarantined at home and didn't work in the shelter. Thanks to our donors' generous gifts, I didn't hesitate at all to veto his offer and still paid them in full. They wanted me to relate their appreciation to all our supporters. Visitors showed up right away too. They told Mr. Yao how much they missed our dogs and cats. Because of you, a person who cares about our movement, ending the dog and cat meat trade, we are able to have a dependable, well-maintained, and well-staffed shelter in this dog/cat-eating city (second only to Yulin) and provide a precious place for locals to interact with beloved animals. Your support will change many hearts and minds, and I thank you. Visitors showed up at the shelter you helped build as soon as the shelter door was reopened.
