Friendship Circle Founders Visit Derech Emunah

By Saralah Bresler, 12th Grade

Derech Emunah was honored with the presence of guest speakers, Levi and Bassie Shemtov, founders of Friendship Circle. They told the students the amazing story of how they came to start Friendship Circle when they saw the need in the community and shared how far it's grown since then. They included heartwarming examples of how their program has impacted both those with disabilities and the volunteers. One of the most touching parts of the presentation was a video about how far Friendship Circle went to ensure that a woman with cerebral palsy could make art and then helped her auction it off.
