A sign of the times

The sidewalk in front of Sacred Heart School, designed with symbols and messages in colored chalk, is a sure sign that young and colorful lives have recently played there. SHES began the 2015-16 school year with an enrollment of 436 students in grades preschool-grade 8. These beautiful children have been entrusted to us by 294 wonderful families seeking a Catholic education for their child(ren).

The administration, faculty and staff welcome you to the 142nd year of learning, playing, and praying together in a Catholic community. We strive to have Jesus as the unseen but ever-present Teacher in our classes, the Model of our faculty and the Inspiration of our students.

A note from the Pastor

Beginning in 1673 and continuing throughout the course of another year and one-half, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque experienced mystical divine visitations through which was born devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This devotion, which is a reminder to us of the depth of Christ’s love for and mercy toward us, spread far and wide and it is from this that Sacred Heart Parish takes its name. Sacred Heart parishioners are invited to contact the rectory and schedule a visit by one of the priests to pray with you and enthrone an image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in your home. Thus far 40 families, many of whom are school families, have already made this happen in their homes.
