Andan is exibiting video work and talking about Cinema, for many filmmakers recently, as becoming the modeling of a single consciousness experiencing at the Time Machine festival in July. Metro Screen is a proud supporter of the inaugural TIME MACHINE festival presenting time-based art forms including performance, installation, workshops, talks, and experimental music. Craft of Directing  15 July
Craft of Directing focuses on the visual aspects of directing drama, exploring script interpretation, visualisation, shot choices, pacing, and point of view. Participants discover how camera angles, aspect ratio, shot sequence and staging all effect the power of a story. The course covers the analysis of a wide range of scripts and films to discover how best to use the language of film to tell a powerful story. Learn how to think visually and enrich your mise-en-scène.

Fundamentals of VFX  31 July
This comprehensive special effects course is a complete package for the aspiring animator and/or designer. Participants use After Effects, Motion and Photoshop to create stunning 2D and 3D graphics, experiment with filters, multiple layers, animation and compositing techniques. Completion of the course will see participants with a core understanding of visual effects techniques and practices.

The Curse

12 Double tickets to Sydney premiere of Australian doco,  a great filmmaking example, about The Curse of the Gothic Symphony Thursday July 19 at Cinema Paris, 7pm.
