What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is a common but poorly understood disorder of the facial skin that is estimated to affect well over 16 million Americans.

What are the symptoms of Rosacea?
Symptoms of rosacea include redness, flushing, bumps and small visible blood vessels on the face. Other symptoms may include watery or irritated eyes, as well as a change in the size or shape of the nose and/or chin. The condition can be further exacerbated by certain foods, alcohol and stress.

So what can I do?
Because of its red-faced, acne-like effects on personal appearance, rosacea can cause significant psychological, social and occupational problems if left untreated. "The earliest signs of rosacea are often overlooked because people assume they are temporary and will go away," said Dr. John Wolf, chairman of dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine. "Unfortunately, without medical treatment, the effects of rosacea often persist and become increasingly severe."

Fortunately, intervention can typically control the symptoms of this potentially life-disruptive disorder.

One solution is the V-Beam Laser Treatment. V-Beam is a targeted, pulsed-light laser that treats inflamed, red blood vessels, helping to decrease visible redness and treat the staple signs of rosacea.
