Cambridge gets its first Food & Wine school

After 16 years as Cambridge Cookery School we are very excited to announce that we have rebranded to Cambridge Cookery & Wine School. 

Owner Tine Roche is nearing the end of her studies towards the globally recognised WSET Diploma in Wine. We are adding a whole new program of wine classes, tastings and events. 

We are starting with a mini series on French wine. The first tasting has already sold out but we still have space on March 10th and April 7th. Come along and enjoy 6-8 glasses of wine, plus nibbles made in-house. 

We are delighted to announce that we are joining forces with Wine & Spirit Education Trust Certified Educator Steve Hovington DipWSET, owner of The Cambridge Wine Academy, who will deliver classes and examinations for WSET Levels 1, 2 and 3.

Finally, we are launching Wine Social for mature, single people looking for a relaxed, fun and mildly educational evening out. Easy going, centred around a short wine talk followed by free tastings and mingling, these friendly events are for those keen to make new friends, to socialise or hoping to date. No pressure, just an informal setting for people to meet while mingling around 3-4 different stations of wine.

More Scandi & more Spritz in the café 

As part our wine expansion we have made some changes to the café opening. We will offer our popular house rye platters, our cinnamon buns, steel cut oat bowls, big salads, soups and daily dishes made by our Cordon Bleu trained chefs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. 

Our wine cooler is taking centre stage on the counter, offering fizz, Italian style Spritzes and cocktails, both with and without alcohol from 9am to 2pm. Come the warmer weather we will be serving these in the sun on our terrace overlooking our lawn!
