Celebrate World Family Doctor Day on May 19

World Family Doctor Day highlights the role and contribution of family doctors in health care systems around the world. This year's theme is "family doctors–caring for you for the whole of your life." Here are some ways you can celebrate World Family Doctor Day:

  • Send a thank you card to those who inspired you to become a family medicine doctor
  • Create a community awareness campaign for the importance of family practice
  • Give a flower or small gift to family medicine teachers as a show of appreciation
  • Host a workshop for students interested in family medicine

For more ideas, visit the WONCA website. Share your celebration on social media and tag us (@STFM_FM) or send your story to Sarah at seggers@stfm.org.
