Project Porsche: A 911 Speedster Inspired by the 356

The Autohaus Hamilton garage is alive with the song of Porsche projects being built as we speak, and we’d like to share some of the exciting Porsche action with you!

The first car we’d like to introduce you to is this 911 Speedster, inspired by the 356 Speedster’s lovely svelte lines and cut-down windshield, combined with the chunkier curves of the 911 Speedster.

1996 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

This 993 tiptronic coupe was first delivered by Porsche Centre Brisbane in June 1996 and is still in absolutely beautiful condition.

Being a '96 year model car it's fitted with the 285 horsepower spec varioram engine, which is renowned as being Porsche's last and best air cooled engine.

Brace Yourself!

Here’s an inexpensive and straightforward suspension upgrade for 911 (to ’89) and 986/996 models.

A strut brace links the two front suspension towers together.  By linking the suspension struts, the front of the car is stiffened up for more accurate and predictable steering under hard cornering.

As an added bonus, these strut braces are made of carbon fibre, which has oodles of motorsport cred so anybody who sees your car’s luggage compartment will know that you’re a serious motorsport person.  Adding carbon fibre to your car is good for at least two seconds off your lap time on any circuit of 2 km or more*.
