Class registration for Level 1 subjects opened on Thursday 25 June. Class registration for Level 2 and 3 subjects opens on Monday 29 June.

If you experience difficulties with your class registration, please visit the Class Registration Troubleshooting web page online in the first instance.

If this does not resolve your class registration issue, please submit an enquiry to the University via the Class Registration Enquiry Management System (CREM). This form allows you to raise a new issue, see known issues, and subscribe to relevant updates.

If you require further assistance with using CREM, please contact 13 MELB.

The MSD Fabrication Workshop is hiring!

The MSD Fabrication Workshop (Fabworks) is a state-of-the-art interdisciplinary space for making with technology that aims to create a hands-on and inspiring environment encouraging experimentation with technology, materials and processes of making.

Fabworks operates a range of digital fabrication equipment (Laser cutter, CNC router, 3D Printers) where FabLab Technicians operate machinery and process fabrication jobs. The workshop also operates a range of primarily carpentry fabrication equipment where Machine Workshop Technicians can supervise and engage with students on their woodworking projects.

Fabworks is currently hiring FabLab Technicians and Machine Workshop Technicians.

Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) is organising the 19th ASEF Summer University on “Sustainable Urbanisation in Heritage Cities” from 9-21 August in Pune, India, and warmly invites B Envs and MSD students to apply.

This 2-week project offers a dynamic programme which fuses lectures, workshops and a hack-a-thon where participants jointly develop physical & digital prototypes, social impact models and business plans.

The organisers will grant a financial subsidy that coverfs transportation (flight, local transportation, visa fees, etc.) Accommodation and meals are also provided throughout the project period.

Archiball 2015 - early bird tickets available now

Archiball is the most anticipated event of the year for the architecture student community. This year, Archiball will be hosted at Alumbra. Your ticket will include unlimited refreshments at the bar as well as a selection of canapés prepared by a celebrity chef.

Please note that Archiball 2015 is an independent event run by students, for students.

"People" Australasian Architecture Student Congress - tickets available

Architecture is about people; from the moment we are born into a room, each of us will have a distinct and personal relationship with the space around us. It is in architecture that we work and rest, it’s where we fall in love, where we protest; architecture changes behaviour, it unites and divides, provides shelter and inspiration.

We are excited to bring you a range of speakers from across four continents including Australia. Each of these is positioned to contribute a unique perspective around the theme of people through the varied lenses of their own particular practice. Speakers and program have now been released.

Applications open for 2016 Endeavour Mobility Grants

Undergraduate students are invited to apply for Endeavour Mobility funding under the Study Overseas Short-term Mobility Programme (STMP). STMP provides grants of $2000 per student to undertake study overseas that is for academic credit.

Eligible Locations
Eligible locations for undergraduate study include global locations, but exclude Asia and the Pacific.

Travel dates
Funding is for STMP projects that depart between 1 January 2016 – 31 January 2017.

New Semester 2 subject ENVS10012 Changing Melbourne open for enrolments

Multiplicity: the cinematic city by John Wardle Architects with writer and filmmaker Stefano Boscutti

The city as a laboratory drives this new and exciting Environments subject that investigates scientific, design, engineering and social perspectives to ask how Melbourne can be modelled as the world’s most liveable city.

Through undertaking an in depth study of the places and event spaces of dynamic Melbourne you will research, experiment and prepare a future scenario for this city under transformation.

During the subject you will be introduced to a range of digital and analogue tools that will assist in the mapping and documentation of the city leading to future strategies and/or designs.
