Tips from the Admissions Office

Preparing your clients for arrival

Over the next few editions, we will bring you an item from our pre-departure checklist to assist your clients in preparation for their arrival to Tasmania. There are 10 weeks before Semester 1 2018 Orientation.

Accommodation

If your clients have not already applied for on-campus accommodation, they will need to do this as soon as possible. Placements will be offered within the next week or two so they need to get in soon before they miss out.

If they are not booking on-campus accommodation, other options are available. It is a good time to start researching alternatives and book temporary accommodation for arrival in Tasmania.

Arrial Dates

When clients book their flights it is highly recommended they arrive within the week prior to Orientation. This will give them time to settle in, sort out bank accounts and acclimate to their surroundings.

Orientation commences Monday 19th February and it is compulsory for international students to attend.
