Codes Argument in Court Next Week

The next chapter in our sprinkler and energy code battle takes place next week as BATC will argue against the appropriateness of the sprinkler mandate and elements of the energy code before the MN Court of Appeals.

New Laws in Effect

Following a marathon legislative session that stretched into mid-June, several new laws passed by the legislature and signed by the Governor came into effect on July 1st. One of the law changes will put an end to the state’s Political Contribution Refund program, in which individuals could contribute up to $50 to state candidates and get that money refunded by the state. The repeal is expected to save $8.9 million.
