Thank you to parents for working with the school as the whole state moved into lock down from last Sunday. We really appreciate that you have worked out a way by which your children can learn from home. We realise these are difficult times, however, we are trying to minimise the risk of our students, families and staff so please continue to learn from home wherever you can.
Please take note of the following announcements, for any questions please contact us on 6556 8100.
An important thank you letter to Parents and Carers from Ms Westman.
Mask Wearing Update
From 12.01am Monday, 23 August, the following additional rule will be introduced for regional NSW until 28 August:
Mask wearing will be mandatory when outside your home, except when exercising.
N.B: There are a number of lawful reasons for not wearing a mask.
You are not required to wear a mask if you have a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, that makes wearing a mask unsuitable.
The NSW Premier announced that, in addition to Greater Sydney, stay-at-home rules apply to all schools in regional NSW from 5 pm 14 August to 12.01 am 28 August. This replaces any existing orders in regional NSW.
Following updated health advice from the Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant about the growing risk to the community, stay-at-home rules will apply to all people who live in these areas.
Parents and carers in these LGAs must keep children – across primary and secondary school – at home unless they need to be at school. Schools (including outside of school hours care) are open for any child that needs it.
As of Monday, timetabled video lessons are starting for students in Years 7-10. The lesson schedule will be published in Student Notices on the Millennium Portal.
All school work for students in Years 7-10 will be accessed on our e-learning site CANVAS.
Please contact the school office for any further assistance. Phone 6556 8100.
Year 9M, 8M, 8D & 8E enjoyed celebrating NAIDOC through in class Master Chef activities in week 3 of this term. In PDHPE we based our lesson on traditional nutrition and contemporary Indigenous foods. We cooked Kangaroo sausage rolls and crocodile pies in a Mater Chef cooking activity for staff to judge. Thank you to all staff and students who participated.

Do you play oztag or thinking about it?
This is your chance to get a free rego for the 21/22 Summer Oztag Season.
How? Organise a minimum of 2 school teams for the Junior Competition, advertise and collate at school, no need to attend each Monday afternoon (that’s what parent delegates are for!).
An information note for MiNiTaG (Kindergarten), and a generic note that you can use to give to students (just need to fill in with staff contact) has been included.
The Junior Season starts at the beginning of Term 4, and it would be amazing to have some ’school based’ teams register.
Please contact Katrina Davis, 0421 019 462 if you have any enquiries.
