CEMSIS SURVEYS
CEMSIS is an acronym of Catholic Education Melbourne School Improvement Surveys. Surveys will be offered to staff, year 4,5 and 6 students and parents. All surveys will be undertaken online. The surveys will provide feedback in relation to our school’s perceived strengths and areas for improvement, and assist in driving school improvement. The survey period concludes on Friday 20 September.

STAFFING
Next term we welcome back Fiona Waywood to F/1. Fiona and Dee McDonnell will be teaching F/1. Kathy Goutzoulas has done a great job teaching F/1 over the last two terms. No doubt we will still see Kathy teaching at St. Anne’s in various levels in the future. Thank you Kathy.

School Fees
We still have a significant amount of school fees outstanding. For those concerned your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Good Morning Everyone
I am Erin and this is  Victoria and we are members of the SRC.
We are here today to give you some details about two of the projects that we think all students will be interested in.

Most of you know that it is footy finals time in AFL, Netball and NRL and we would like to invite everyone to wear their team colours on Friday, the last day of term.

We will collect a gold coin from everyone and we hope to donate all funds to help kids with cancer.

Our next idea is one that will not cost us any money but will do a lot to help children less fortunate than us. As you may be aware many councils are having trouble at the moment with their recycling companies so we have found an idea for recycling our plastic bottle tops. We are asking all families to wash and save any plastic lids for you all to bring them to school.

Envision Hands, a company in Melbourne will then collect and break down the lids into different coloured special inks that are used in 3D printers. They will make artificial limbs for children living overseas.

We will set up some boxes in the LLC for you to drop in your plastic coloured lids during Term 4. We would like to collect at least 1,000 lids so please save your milk and juice lids over the holidays and bring them in on the first day of term. Of course if you save any this week bring them in to help start our collection.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask one of the SRC people
