Greg's Message

Hello Parents and Friends of St. Anne’s
Good luck to our Year 3 Reconciliation candidates; they will be receiving this Sacrament tonight at 7:30pm.
As we approach the end of another busy term, here are some of the highlights: Hospitality masses, Reconciliation, Parish Picnic, St. Patrick’s Day mass, swimming carnival, F-6 twilight sports, interschool sport, buddies program, working bee, school camp, Grip leadership excursion, open days, information nights, MCC bowls night, Foundation drinks…
Each one of these events are important; what is even more important however is to observe the wonderful growth of all our children. This growth is the result of a “team effort” - well done students, staff and parents.

Open Days
Thanks to everyone for their support of the Open Days. During the three open days we conducted tours. Prior to these days another seven tours have been held.

Year 5/6 Sport

Glenferrie Gourmet Meats

The School Community would like to thank Glenferrie Gourmet Meats for their amazing generosity in supplying the sausages for the P & F BBQ Stand at the Twilight Sports. This sort of support deserves our reciprocation so wherever possible, drop in and see the team at Glenferrie Gourmet Meats when next buying meat for your that Roast dinner, BBQ or all-round special occasion and thank them on behalf of us all here at St Anne’s!

The project to resurface the lower playground Courts is gaining momentum. This week a number of trees were taken out which will help create a better playing and enhance the lifespan of the new surface we lay. Huge thanks go to Tom and Emily Aldous for donating the arborist expertise and labour for this work through their Company,  The Tree Company. Be sure to keep The Tree Company in mind when next tackling your backyard trees and shrubbery!

The next task before us is to remove and dispose of the existing surface. For this we require the assistance of a band of volunteers on the morning of Saturday 6th April 2019 and again invoke the old saying “Many hands make light work”! Further details regarding start time etc will be made available through the SkoolBag App shortly but for now, please save the date. With an enthusiastic crew, we will be able to knock this job over in a matter of hours and set ourselves up for installation of the new surface in Term 2.

Easter Egg Fundraiser

With the School Holidays fast approaching, we are nearing the end of our Easter Egg Fundraiser. Thank you to those superstars who have already returned their empty boxes and deposited the $80. If everyone can make that extra effort to return their $80 this week, that would be an enormous achievement! Demand for Easter Eggs tends to fall away after Easter, so the time to sell is now! We can’t return product to the supplier and would prefer not to charge School Families for unsold product so, if any families need help selling their Easter Eggs - please get in touch ASAP!!
