Offside is back for 2013 with more of what you want – competition news, updates, course announcements and more!
To start, we’ve got a rundown of dates for the 2013 season, which kicks off in April. But before the season starts we also have a women’s only coaching course, two referee course and trials for the limited remaining spots in our SAP squad.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2013 FOOTBALL SEASON
The 2013 football season will be kicking off on Saturday, 6 April 2013 for all ESFA competitions.
18 February - Clubs will submit preliminary team nominations 11 March - Clubs to submit Final team nominations 15 March - Team grading details issued to Clubs 28 March - Round 1 Draw (only) to be released. Further rounds to be released as soon as practically possible
Season dates 6/7 April - First weekend of competitions 20/21 April - School holidays, no junior football scheduled 6/7 July - School holidays, no junior football scheduled 24/25 August - Grand Finals will end no later than this weekend
Season dates may change due to external factors such as wet weather or ground closures.

Female only Junior Licence Coaching Course in March
A Junior Licence Coaching Course for female participants only will be held in March at David Phillips Sports Field.
This fourteen (14) hour course is designed to help those coaches who are training 8 – 11 year old players and will provide ideas on how to create a positive learning environment for the players.
Dates: Mondays – 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March 2013 Times: 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm Cost: $90 Venue: UNSW David Phillips Sports Fields, Cnr Banks Ave and Gwea Ave, Daceyville
All sessions must be attended.
Applications are now open for the Football NSW Waratah Cup 2013.
The Waratah Cup is open to all Senior Member Clubs of the NSW Men’s Premier League 1, Men’s Premier League 2, Men’s State League 1 and Men’s State League 2 as well as Association teams.
All Clubs are encouraged to participate in and support this prestigious state-wide competition. Association teams enter the competition in round one. The entry fee for Association teams are $300 (including GST).
