Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region Announces Launch of "Real Rutland Bucks"

Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region was recently awarded a Restart Vermont Regional Marketing Grant to benefit businesses in our local community that have been impacted by COVID-19. From October 12 through November 12, individuals who spend $30 or more at participating businesses and ask to use “Real Rutland Bucks” will receive $10 off their total purchase (while supplies last). Please note, state guidelines currently require you to make a reservation or call ahead. 

Participating businesses in Rutland and its surrounding towns include:

  • Brix Bistro
  • Bueno Burrito
  • Countryman's Pleasure
  • Franklin's
  • Hand Carved by Ernie
  • Little Harry's
  • Maxie's Deli
  • Roots the Restaurant
  • Southside Steakhouse
  • TASO on Center
  • The Palms

In addition to Rutland, Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region brought together four additional economic development organizations to develop their own “Real Bucks” programs in Brandon, Castleton, Killington, Poultney, and their surrounding communities.

Join Us For Our Most Exciting Annual Meeting Yet!

Due to the inclement weather that was forecasted for last night, Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region has postponed its annual meeting to Wednesday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held drive-in style at the Vermont State Fairgrounds in Rutland and the Jack McKernon Drive-In at Estabrook Park in Brandon. The Rutland location is sold out, but there is still space available at the Brandon location. 

The event, which will feature a pre-recorded video produced by Amanda Wheeler of Eightzero2 Productions, will be a celebration of the recent merger of Rutland Economic Development Corporation and Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce. The annual meeting will also celebrate Rutland County’s 27 towns and cities and the extraordinary people who work tirelessly to make our region the most collaborative, innovative, and friendly place in Vermont to live, work, play, and grow a business. The cost to attend is $25 per car, and each car will receive $25 in “Food Truck Bucks” to be used at the food truck park that evening. Space is limited; Pre-registration is required.
