Queensland Theatre Company (QTC) to farewell Artistic Director Wesley Enoch

QTC is set to wave a very loving farewell to Artistic Director Wesley Enoch following his appointment as Festival Director of the Sydney Festival.

A leading voice for theatre, the arts and particularly Indigenous arts in Australia, Enoch’s Sydney Festival appointment is another major coup for Queensland talent.

Executive Director of Queensland Theatre Company, Sue Donnelly said a global search for the company’s new Artistic Director was already underway, with an announcement to come later this year.

Help shape West Village

Have you heard the old Peters Ice Cream Factory site on Boundary Street is about to be transformed?

To be called West Village, the 2.6 hectare site will be a vibrant mix of work spaces, retail outlets, restaurants, open public spaces and architecturally designed apartment buildings.

Steve Davies, a former MP and businessman, will inspire you with his story of forging a career from a dysfunctional past. Daina, a recent graduate, will also share her amazing story.

Enjoy Free Live Music at City Sounds

City Sounds is Australia’s largest free live music program. It features some of Brisbane’s best musical talent and from Friday 5 June, you can experience it at South Bank.

The live acts will take place across nine picturesque locations in the Parklands at 2pm on Fridays and from 3pm on Saturdays, all throughout June. After that, they’ll take place monthly.
