The sabre-rattling on the country’s northern border foreshadows war and all that means for the people of Israel and for its healthcare system. While the many declared and undeclared wars that Israel fought since its founding have impacted on its health infrastructure, its hospitals have always been prepared for the worst-case scenario. Bursting the Corona bubbleMy brush with COVID-19Hadassah-trained medico, Rani Haj Yahya, arrived in Australia in January 2020 just before the coronavirus pandemic struck. He will return after completing advanced training in maternal fetal medicine at the Royal Women’s Hospital. His visit follows a similar route to the one travelled by previous Hadassah Fellows.
