Zucker Pipeline Program (ZPP) ApplicationThe mission of the ZPP is to enhance the matriculation of students who are underrepresented in medicine and students who are economically disadvantaged to the Zucker School of Medicine. The three-year, summer intensive, academic enrichment program is designed to provide high achieving college students who are interested in a career in medicine an opportunity for direct matriculation to the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. To learn more and apply, visit our website. Food Insecurity in Centre CountyStudent Farm at Penn State will be hosting a virtual panel on Thursday, February 11 from 12-1pm! The event will feature volunteers from community organizations that work to reduce food insecurity in the Center region. Panelists will talk about the work they're doing and share ways for participants to get involved. Register here. Essence of Democracy Series: Ify Chiejina PSU LehighPenn State Lehigh Art Gallery Director will be hosting Essence of Democracy: Dying to Dream on Thursday, February 11th at 2:00 pm. This panel is part of Black History Month and will feature artist Ify Chiejina and PSULV Chancellor, Dr. Tina Richardson, with moderation by Gallery Director Ann Lalik. SHPEP Summer ProgramWeek in the life of an SHPEP Scholar will take place on February 1 @ 6pm. As a reminder, the SHPEP application deadline is 11:59 p.m. ET on February 5, 2020. We encourage those who are eligible for the program to promptly have their materials submitted to the National Program Office (NPO). HHD Funds for Undergraduate Researchhttps://hhd.psu.edu/summer-undergraduate-research-grants The College of Health and Human Development will be offering funds for undergraduates to complete research under the direction of a faculty mentor for summer 2021. Funds may be used for student expenses and project costs. Please note faculty supervisor requirements below. Students must be enrolled in a College of HHD major or be a premajor HHD student. Deadline is February 8, 2021. Applicants will be notified by the end of March 2021 regarding funding decisions. Students applying for the Erickson Discovery Grant Program from the University can submit the same application for this funding.
