Lily D'Ambrosio, Victorian Minister for Solar Homes, Energy, the Environment and Climate Change recently launched the new Solar for Business Program eligibility criteria in preparation for the program to open. Eligible businesses can apply for a small business rebate for a rooftop solar system up to 30kW of up to 50 per cent of the cost up to $3,500. Application will be available through the Solar Victoria portal in May 2021. Powercor to assist more customers with rooftop solar to export excess energy back into the grid.With a growing number of Powercor's residential customers now generating their own power from solar, the company will this month begin rolling out an upgrade program in targeted locations. The aim of the program is to assist more customers with rooftop solar to export excess energy back into the grid. In addition, scoping and preparation work is underway in selected locations across the CitiPower network to conduct similar upgrades. New feed-in tariffs from 1 JulyThe Essential Services Commission has released its decision on the 2021–22 minimum feed-in tariff. The single minimum feed-in tariff will reduce to 6.7 cents per kilowatt hour from 1 July 2021. Solar Homes and the Grid of the FutureIn the last 12 months, Victoria connected more renewables than any other state and created more jobs in renewables than anywhere else in the country.
