Experts gather at diabetes conference

People working in the field of diabetes have gathered at the Diabetes UK Professional Conference 2016.

More than 2,800 delegates have attended the three-day event, which has been taking place at The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow.

NICE diabetes guidelines debate

Leading figures from the diabetes community debated the merits of the updated NICE guidelines published last year.

A new guide for managing insulin administration in the community has been launched at the Diabetes UK Professional Conference.

The two-part guide has been compiled by Diabetes UK and accredited by the Royal College of Nursing, TREND UK and the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association. To read more, click here

Diabetes forum announces elite advisory panel

Europe’s largest diabetes forum for people with diabetes has announced an Advisory Panel.

Diabetes.co.uk, which has more than 430,000 members, has launched the initiative to help “bridge the gap between people with diabetes and the clinical community”. To read more, click here.

A new module aimed at helping healthcare professionals to reduce insulin errors has been released.

Low carb programme hits 65,000 milestone
