Teachers, do your students want to create a Killer Team Image
Are your Students competing in
F1 in Schools,
Land Rover 4x4 in Schools,
Jaguar Primary Schools Challenge, or
SUBS in Schools?
How good is their branding, trade display, technical portfolio or other visual elements of their project? Do they need help or industry support to create a better visual image for their team to communicate the passion they have to the judges or encourage engagement with sponsors? The print, graphics and signage industries use technology to
create a visual image, communicate passion and encourage engagement with the products we interact with every day. No matter where you are in Australia, if you're preparing for competition in F1 in Schools, 4x4 in Schools or SUBS in Schools and you need support in any of the areas of visual communications, REA has formed an alliance with Visual Connections, the industry association which represents the print, graphics and signage industries, to help facilitate that support. The door is also open for these relationships to lead to sponsorship opportunities.
Since our first competition in 1998, REA students everywhere have been guided to use visual communication to market their teams, aid in the design of their trade displays, development of team portfolios and decoration of their F1 cars, 4x4 vehicles, Submarines etc. ... there is a natural connection between the STEM involved in our programs and the artistry of visual communication ... this turns STEM into STEAM.
This alliance will provide a gateway for students to access industry mentors, facilitate the development of career pathways and help students develop the best possible marketing material. It will promote the development of skills and allow students to communicate the passion they have for their projects.
Visual Connections members are keen to connect with schools...to inform students about employment possibilities in their industries. This alliance is an opportunity, not only for teams that participate in REA programs, but also for whole schools to form key industry engagement links. Print, graphics and signage is the largest manufacturing
industry in Australia and offers a diversity of career opportunities from technical, hands-on applications like press operator, sign maker, colour expert, graphic design, pre-press...to business skills such as sales, finance, operations management, marketing and PR. If you would like assistance or support from the print, graphics and signage industries we would ask that you register your school's expression of interest by clicking the link below.
