12.5 million affected: the true impact of neurological conditions

Your support is incredibly important to The National Brain Appeal - now more than ever.

The Neurological Alliance has recently unveiled the results of the first national dataset showing the economc and social impact of neurological conditions in the UK. This is the first time such a detailed insight into the national picture has been presented and some of the figures are astounding:

  • the number of neurological cases in England has now reached 12.5 million
  • NHS expenditure on neurological conditions has increased by more than 200% between 2004 -2013 and...
  • is now nearly £4.5 billion

From these statistics alone we can see that there is still a crucial need for The National Brain Appeal to continue funding advances in neurology and neurosurgery.

Every donation you make, every event you organise or attend, and every challenge you take goes a long way to help these individuals by boosting research, treatment methods and outcomes.

Please help us if you can. Thank you.
