NAIDOC Week 2021

NAIDOC Week occurs annually and is a celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week invites all Australians to celebrate by encouraging participation in NAIDOC Week events or simply taking opportunities to learn more about First Peoples.

COVID-19 Update - Last week was a difficult week as the guidelines and restrictions surrounding COVID-19 changed on a daily basis. Yesterday (5th July) the SA Government issued a further update which saw a relaxing of some of these restrictions. The latest information is available on the Synod website.

Event highlight

One Great Sunday of Sharing: Celebrating being a Multicultural and Intercultural Church - this event is held on the third Sunday in July each year and provides an opportunity for Uniting Church congregations to celebrate being a multicultural church.

The 16th Assembly - is the triennial decision-making meeting of the national Council of the Uniting Church, which guides the life of the Church and its advocacy over the next 3 years. This year, the triennial Assembly meeting will take place online from 17-18 July 2021.

  • For all health workers and medical staff as they continue to work on the frontline of the pandemic.

Do you turn on the television, or rush into the bathroom, or allow your ‘to do’ list to come rushing in? Instead, try lying quietly and allowing God to speak to you. With your mind clear and your heart open.
