“The information I needed in a digestible format”

That was the verdict of a distributor attending 'REACH for the cleaning supply chain', a conference organised by CHSA and BACS and supported by the British Cleaning Council and Tomorrow’s Cleaning.

Distributors in the cleaning and hygiene sector gathered in the West Midlands to get answers to their questions on the implications of the REACH regulation.

Judging Day!

On Tuesday 26 July the CHSA judging panel, to be led by our Treasurer David Garcia, will be interviewing the applicants for the CHSA Scholarship Scheme.

At the end of the day one young person will be selected to receive the Scholarship of £1,500 per year over the course of a three-year degree.

"We're very much looking forward to meeting the talented young people," said David Garcia.  "Judging by the applications, it's certainly going to be challenging to select one overall winner!"

Newcel joins the Soft Tissue Accreditation Scheme

We're delighted to welcome Newcel to the Soft Tissue Accreditation Scheme, after their successful completion of the application process.

Gaining admittance to an Accreditation Scheme is challenging.  Applicants must pass the initial audit of their full product range and existing quality assurance processes.  They are then audited throughout the first year to ensure they maintain the standard required of them to gain membership.

Assured virucidal disinfection from Evans Vanodine

Evans Vanodine has introduced a new virucidal, unperfumed, disinfectant cleaner, Safe Zone Plus, which cleans and disinfects in one operation.

To substantiate a claim that a disinfectant is virucidal and is suitable for use in high risk areas, it must be tested according to the appropriate European test method. EN 14476:2013 + A1:2015 is used to demonstrate activity against Poliovirus, Adenovirus and Murine Norovirus; which will allow a claim against all enveloped and non-enveloped viruses. Safe Zone Plus has passed EN 14776 against these viruses and others of importance in the healthcare setting.
