POST PRODUCTION SCHOLARSHIP
April – December 2014 Part-Time Course
The Film and TV job market is in need of qualified Editors and Assistant Editors. This brand new scholarship has been designed to meet that industry need with a Certificate IV in Post Production. This scholarship provides the opportunity to be one of 15 people selected to specialise in Post Production and graduate with practical skills, a showreel and a work placement or internship under your belt. If you are tech-savvy and have a good sense of visual storytelling, this course is for you.

ASSITANT DIRECTOR SCHOLARSHIP
April – June 2014 Part-Time Course
A brand new Scholarship for aspiring Assistant Directors is now open at Metro Screen April – June 2014. This heavily subsidised course designed for runners, PA’s or Third AD’s looking to take the next step in Film and Television careers has been developed to meet a critical industry shortage. The content you cover has been designed in consultation with working directors and assistant directors, including the Australian Directors Guild, to give you real, practical and the most current skills required on set.

March – April 2014 Part-Time Course
If you are an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australian Dubbo local between 17 and 25 years old, Metro Screen want to work with you to tell local stories about your town. Let’s make short 2 minute stories to screen online at ABC Open, on the big screen at a party and maybe even on TV! Over 2 weeks we will work with your idea and help you make it at free workshops. We will have all the equipment and support you will need to make a broadcast quality video.

FUNDING
JUMP START PRODUCTION SUBSIDY
The first round of Jump Start Production Subsidy funding for film and content makers looking for equipment or studio facilities is coming up at Metro Screen to help balance the production budget. Jump Start provides $45,000 worth of production subsidies over three application rounds, the first round closes Monday 7 April 2014. Broadcast quality equipment, the green screen studio and post-production facilities are made available to film and content makers at hugely discounted rates through the Jump Start subsidy.
