Topical Gel for ED Could Induce Erection in 10 Minutes
The results of a phase II trial of a topical gel could be encouraging for men with erectile dysfunction (ED).
The study involved MED2005, a 0.2% glyceryl trinitrate gel combined with DermaSys technology, which helps the skin absorb the gel more effectively.
Two-hundred thirty-two men with ED (average age 43) and their partners participated in the 9-week trial. Men tended to have better erections after using MED2005.
Seventy percent of the men achieved satisfactory erections within ten minutes of application.
