Your December 2020 edition Holiday support for students With the holiday closure approaching, there continues to be a coordinated effort across campus to ensure we are supporting all the students who will be here over the break. Having supported over 400 students through the summer and early fall with respect to international student quarantine, we continue to welcome students to London and expect to provide quarantine support to a similar number of students arriving for the winter term. To date, more than 70 international students from 26 countries have indicated they will be arriving during the break and will be quarantining off campus for 14 days after arriving in Canada. Many of these students will be staying in Western-arranged accommodations. In addition, more than 75 students have indicated they will be staying in residence over the holidays. We expect at least 55 of those to be international students. Western International, Housing and Student Experience are working together to curate a list of virtual activities and supports available to students over the holiday break.
