Censorship Strikes Again

Queer Screen have announced a special fundraising screening of ‘Interior. Leather Bar.’ the latest release from controversial filmmaker, Travis Mathews. Featuring an exclusive presentation of an interview with Mathews following the screening.

Mathews gained noteriety in March this year for his provocative film “I Want Your Love”, which was consequently banned from the Sydney Mardi Gras Film Festival, plus the Melbourne and Brisbane Queer Film Festivals. Controversy surrounded the Classification Board’s decision to ban the film, given that less than 12 months before, the board had granted permission for the screening of a film depicting bestiality.
