Lawyers Mutual Board member Sharon Parker of McDowell County was honored by Governor Beverly Purdue on November 16 as a recipient of the Governor’s Medallion Award for Volunteer Service. Parker, a lawyer with Dameron, Burgin, Parker & Jackson, P.A., in Marion, was one of 20 individuals to receive the award from the N.C. Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service.
