Go Clubs Infrastructure Grant 2025/26!

👉 Expressions of Interest (EOI) are Now Open! Submitting an EOI is a great way to check your project is on the right track before submitting your grant application! Sending us an EOI isn’t a requirement but clubs who have submitted one will be favoured in the assessment phase (eligible to score extra points)!

Key Go Clubs Infrastructure Grant Dates:

28 July 2025 - Expressions of Interest (EOI) OPEN NOW!
11 August 2025 - Go Clubs Infrastructure Grant opens
25 August 2025 - Expressions of Interest close
8 September 2025 - Improvement Works Applications (if applicable) are due
6 October 2025 - Go Clubs Infrastructure Grant application period closes
Early 2026 - Successful applications announced
Early 2027 - Projects / acquittals completed at latest Visit

Go Clubs Essentials Grant

The Go Clubs Essentials Assistance Grant provides up to $5,000 worth of in-kind assistance designed to support Go Clubs members with repairs, maintenance, and minor upgrades. Check out the Essentials Assistance Grant Factsheet to see what's available to clubs under this grant (subject to resource, availability, scheduling and funding allocation).

Community Partnerships Grant

The Community Partnerships Grant assists community groups to deliver events, activities and programs that enhance the lives of local communities, celebrate occasions, and provide opportunities to develop connections in Cairns. This grant provides up to $25,000 in assistance through cash and the hiring of Council venues and resources.

Sport and Recreation Recovery Grant

Eligible not-for-profit sport clubs can now access up to $1 million per facility to repair, rebuild or restore damaged infrastructure impacted by the early 2025 floods. Eligible projects include fields, amenities, courts, lighting, equipment and more. Projects that improve resilience to future disasters are encouraged.

Powerlink Community Grant

Powerlink Queensland is offering grants of up to $5,000 for community groups, clubs and not-for-profit organisations to support community-focused projects across regional Queensland. Applications close 22 August 2025.

Good for Good Community Grant

The Queensland Country Good for Good Community Grant is now open. Eligible not-for-profit organisations are invited to apply for funding of up to $30,000 for projects that make a practical difference to Queensland communities. Applications close 31 August 2025.

$200 Play On! Vouchers Available from 4 August!

From Monday 4 August 2025, Queensland families and activity providers can apply for a $200 Play On! voucher per child (aged 5–17) to help cover the cost of sport and recreational activities!

Here’s what you need to know:

✅ $200 per eligible child
✅ Priority support for regional and rural communities
✅ Focus on inclusive sport for all abilities
✅ Two rounds per year (summer & winter)

Play On! aims to get more kids involved in sport and recreation —regardless of where they live or their ability.

Far North Queensland Sportstar Nominations are now live! This year the event will be hosted by Townsville City Council on Saturday 25th October 2025, celebrating our athletes, grassroots heroes, and communities that champion sport at every level.

Whether it’s hitting a personal milestone, representing your town at a state championship, or volunteering behind the scenes, we are calling on you to help celebrate our sporting legends!
