Anti-tumour effects of fucoidan in thyroid cancer Fucoidan extracted from seaweed species Fucus vesiculosus has been shown in vitro to inhibit the growth of thyroid cancer cells and induce apoptosis. These findings build on extensive research into the anti-cancer effects of fucoidan and its use as an adjunct therapy with current cancer treatments.
