GRANTSCancer CAG E/MCR Seed grants Four grants are available to early or mid-career researchers. Projects can address any area along the continuum of cancer control and must have direct relevance to at least one Cancer BIG Idea. The funds for these collaborative grants are sourced from Cancer CAG and SPHERE funds, as well as additional UNSW philanthropic funds administered by UNSW Sydney.

AWARDS, TRAINING AND RESOURCESCancer data in Australia - update The AIHW Cancer data in Australia report was updated on 30 October. This report presents cancer incidence, mortality, survival, risk and prevalence statistics using data from 1982 to 2016 (2018 for mortality) and projections up to 2020 for cancer incidence and mortality. The AIATSIS Code AIATSIS recently published the Code of Ethics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research (The AIATSIS Code), which ensures that research with and about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples follows a process of meaningful engagement and reciprocity between the researcher and the individuals and/or communities involved in the research. It was formed to create an innovative and supportive environment for the translation of cancer research into improvements in patient care. CONCERT The Centre for Oncology Education, Research and Training (CONCERT) is a translational research centre program funded by the Cancer Insitute NSW. CONCERT exists to bring together the knowledge and expertise of cancer health professionals and researchers to facilitate translation of research generated evidence into practice to achieve better outcomes for those affected by cancer. Cancer CAG The Cancer Clinical Academic Group (Cancer CAG) brings together clinicians and researchers from three universities, four cancer services (with six major treatment facilities) and three Medical Research Institutes. Our combined research strength spans the translational medicine spectrum of bench to bedside and health service delivery.
