STCW Refresher Training

SEFtec NMCI Offshore (SNO) are delighted to announce that they are offering MCA approved STCW Refresher Training. These courses can be booked by clicking here. IASST Website

NMCI to host IASST Conference  

The National Maritime College of Ireland, as members of IASST, are delighted to announce that they will be hosting the 67th International IASST Meeting & Conference on the 19th & 20th of October at the National Maritime College of Ireland in Ringaskiddy

Irish Maritime Forum

"Success through Synergy - An Innovative & Dynamic Approach to the Future"

The 2015 Irish Maritime Forum, attended by over 150 delegates, discussed the importance of the Maritime Industry to Ireland’s continued economic growth and how solutions to a number of the world’s great challenges will come from the Sea.

The National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI) hosted the forum, which was officially opened by John Mullins, Chairman, Port of Cork in the presence of Simon Coveney, TD, Minister of State for Agriculture, Food, the Marine, and Defence.

NMCI Open Day - October 22nd 

Life at sea has always appealed to those who want to combine travel with a challenging career offering exciting rewards. This is the life for those who relish the challenge of working with the sea. The National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI) is set to open it’s doors  to the public for the annual College Open Day on October 22nd. Read more here.


Seafarers Awareness Week 2016

Building on the success of 2015 Seafarers Awareness Week – which saw more than one hundred businesses and organisations supporting the annual initiative – in 2016 Seafarers Awareness Week will promote maritime job opportunities, both at sea and ashore, and will also focus on increasing young children’s knowledge of our industry with the theme of the week being ‘Maritime Jobs for Future Generations’ .

Seafaring Safety Skills Course

If you're looking for something different then a maritime career may just be for you. This nine week course will include STCW Courses which is timely as these tickets will need to be refreshed before January 1st 2017. Other modules will include: Induction, General Ship Knowledge & Seamanship, Coastal Navigation, Food Safety and Hygiene, PST,PSSR,FF,EFA, Applications Software, Career Planning and job Seeking Skills, and Job Seeking. This free course could be the start of your journey into a maritime career.

The Irish Maritime Forum
