INVITATION -  Focus on the artist – REMINDER

Debate: focus on the artist

5:30 pm [Panel 1]: Which contract for which artistic performance?

There are many different types of contracts and forms of invoicing for the realisation of a paid artistic performance. What is the role of intermediators? And what are the consequences for your income, your social rights and your right to the artist statute?

6:15 pm [Panel 2]: Copyright/neighbouring rights: income or salary?

Although copyrights and neighbouring rights are considered movable income, there are many different opinions about and practices regarding the nature and treatment of these rights. What is done in case of disagreement?

The debate will be held on 17 June 2019, starting from 5:30 pm, at the Beursschouwburg  and will be followed by a drink to which you are, of course, also warmly invited.  If you have not already done so, please confirm your presence via the link below, or by sending an e-mail to events@playright.be before 10 June 2019.

When did he start acting? And how does he manage to secure one big role after another, even though he only had little experience when he graduated?

PlayRight asked him!

Article 130 - The only article artists must read

Article 130 - The only article artists must read

As an artist you must be able to focus on your artistic work. You need to include a basic administration, but to read articles in laws? No, that should not be a requirement. And yet it is best to give article 130 of the Unemployment Benefit Decree of 25 November 1991 a moment’s thought. Certainly, when you have to claim unemployment benefits.
