Two Seats Available for Mentoring Breakfast - Jan. 30If you are interested in attending the 23rd Annual Joseph C. Andrews Mentoring Celebration breakfast at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, please email Boyd Lindsley. The breakfast, which will be held in the Student Union Pegasus Ballroom, will feature keynote speaker Marc Lamont Hill. Hill is a journalist, professor at Morehouse College in Atlanta and a social-justice activist. The Logistics of Commitment Workshop - Jan. 26The title "The Logistics of Commitment Workshop," is somewhat of a misnomer for the event which will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26 in room 101 of the Harris Corporation Engineering Center. This is not about current and pending or effort reporting. Instead the workshop aims at providing prospective PIs interested in leading large, collaborative proposals with information on the UCF resources and processes involved in getting the proposals together, especially with respect to getting support from organizations and individuals outside of UCF. COS is looking for students who have an interesting or motivational story to tell, or someone very involved at UCF and in the community. COS wants to share their story and grow the college’s social media pages – and the departments’/schools' pages too!
